Mini Clubman Locksmith Hamilton

The Mini Clubman is the brand's estate-bodied option — distinctive split rear doors, a bit more boot space than the hatch, and a small but loyal following in Hamilton. Like the rest of the modern Mini range it runs BMW's key architecture underneath, so the equipment and approach are the same ones we use across BMW's own cars. We program Mini Clubman keys at your location across Hamilton and the Waikato.

  • All-keys-lost recovery — no towing
  • Smart key & transponder programming
  • Spare keys cut and coded on site

“Lost the only key to my Hilux on a Friday afternoon. New key cut and programmed in my driveway by Saturday morning — and it cost half what the dealer quoted. Will absolutely call again.”

Mini Clubman Key Systems by Generation

Clubman R55 (2007–2014): Runs BMW's CAS2/CAS3 system, shared with the equivalent-era Cooper hatch. CAS OBD programming for both working-key and all-keys-lost jobs — a common second-hand buy in Hamilton, often with just one working key.

Clubman F54 (2016–present, up to our 2020 cutoff): Current generation uses BMW's FEM module, the same system as the F56 Cooper and F60 Countryman. All-keys-lost recovery is a module bench job — out, read, written and refitted in the van at your vehicle.

Common Mini Clubman Key Problems in Hamilton

Fob battery failure and worn key blades are the most common Clubman callouts, the same pattern we see across other Mini models — a flat CR2032 cell causing intermittent proximity detection on F54 models, and worn fold-out blade hinges on higher-mileage R55 cars after years of pocket carry.

Both are sorted on site with the correct parts carried on the van, and all-keys-lost recovery on either generation is completed at your vehicle without towing.

Frequently asked

Mini key questions

Can you program a Mini Clubman key without the original?

Yes. All-keys-lost R55 recovery via CAS2/CAS3 OBD, and F54 recovery via FEM bench work — done at your vehicle.

How much does a Mini Clubman key replacement cost?

R55 remote: $280–$420. F54 working-key reprogram: $400–$620. FEM all-keys-lost: $580–$920. Exact price confirmed on the phone.

Can you do a 2021 or newer Mini Clubman?

We cover the Mini Clubman up to 2020 model year. European manufacturers moved to tighter, often dealer-only security systems on their newest models, so for 2021-onward cars call us with your registration and we'll confirm honestly whether it's something we can do before you book anything.
