The Journey uses a transponder remote key or, on later trims, a smart key with push-button start. Programming is done through the OBD port with a working key present. For an all-keys-lost Journey, we read the immobiliser or ECU directly and generate a new key at the vehicle. Some newer Dodge models run a Secure Gateway module — we confirm by phone with your registration rather than assuming.
