Jaguar XF Keys by Generation

  • XF (X250), 2008 to 2015: a smart key with keyless entry and push-button start. Owners and repair shops report key recognition problems most on the cars from about 2012 to 2015, and Jaguar's own bulletin lists the XF from 2013 to 2015 for the engine not cranking and the Smart key not found message.
  • XF (X260), from 2016: also a smart key. Owners report similar key recognition faults after a battery change.
