The Cherokee uses either a transponder remote key or, on later trims, a smart proximity key with push-button start. Programming is carried out over the OBD port with a working key present. For an all-keys-lost Cherokee, we read the immobiliser or ECU directly and generate a new key from what we recover, at the vehicle.
