Kia Stonic Key Systems

The Stonic has been sold in New Zealand since around 2020 with a consistent key architecture. Entry and mid trims use a conventional remote key with a chipped blade, while top-spec GT-Line variants add a proximity smart key with push-to-start.

Both are programmed through the Stonic's OBD port. All-keys-lost recovery reads the vehicle's security data directly, generates a new key, and removes the lost key from the system — done entirely on site, without needing the original or a tow.
