Nissan Pulsar Key Systems
Pulsar N16 (JDM, 2000–2005): Older JDM import — basic transponder key with remote on some variants. One of our more affordable key replacement jobs.
Pulsar B17 (NZ-new, 2013–2017): The NZ-delivered Pulsar used a transponder key with an integrated remote on ST and Ti trims. No push-to-start on NZ-delivered Pulsar models.
Common issue: The Pulsar remote uses a CR2032 battery. Many owners replace it with a generic battery from the supermarket and inadvertently use a lower-quality cell — causing intermittent remote failures within weeks. We use quality branded CR2032 cells.
