As a used-import-only model, the Stepwagon you have will typically fall into one of two buckets: older examples with a conventional transponder key, usually paired with a separate remote, or newer imports with a smart/proximity key and push-button start. Because so many arrived in NZ secondhand with incomplete paperwork or a single key, it's common for the immobiliser registration to need checking or correcting when we attend.
We read what the vehicle's system expects via the OBD port and program a matching key or fob, testing ignition, central locking and (where fitted) the power sliding door remote before we finish. If no working key exists at all, we can generate a new one directly from the vehicle.
