Toyota Passo Key Systems
The Passo uses a straightforward transponder chip key, in most cases with a separate remote for central locking rather than an integrated one. Programming with a working key present is done through the OBD port.
All-keys-lost Passo: We read the immobiliser or ECU directly when no key is available, generate a new key on site, and delete the lost key's code from the system.
Common Toyota Passo Key Problems
No spare key since import: Like many small JDM imports, a lot of Passo models have only ever had one key in New Zealand. We cut and program a spare while the original is still working.
