Like the Alphard, most Vellfires use a proximity smart key with push-button start, with powered sliding doors and tailgate tied into the key system on higher trims.
Programming with a working key present: A new key is added to the vehicle's existing immobiliser record through the OBD port — the quicker, more affordable job.
All-keys-lost Vellfire: We read the immobiliser or ECU directly to generate the data for a new key, program and test it at the vehicle, confirm the powered doors respond correctly, and delete the old key's code.
Common Vellfire Key Problems
Fob battery running down: The most common call — intermittent smart key detection, or temperamental powered doors, are usually a weak battery rather than a fault with the car. We carry the right cell and re-pair on site.
